Summer Camp-‘ULLAS’ 2017-18
To make the summer fun-filled, amusing and enjoyable, Delhi Public World School organized Summer Camp ‘Ullas’ in association with Dainik Bhaskar, for the duration of 12 days. The camp kicked off on the 15th of May, and we concluded on the 26th. The summer camp began with zeal and enthusiasm. Around 500 children began this journey of learning, exploring and creating. ‘Ullas’ aims at honing the various skills of children. During the camp, a plethora of activities were provided to children. It included activities like dance, music, drawing, gift wrapping, fabric painting, Paper Mache, tie and dye, aerobics, skating, self defense, abacus, performing art, Hindi poem recitation, paper quelling and pottery. Not only children, there were special activities for their mothers too. For mothers, English speaking and Personality Development activities were offered. Experts in the above mentioned activities became the mentors and honed children’s skills.
The Finale of Junior Group and Senior Group was done separately. Praveen Khetawat (Unit Head,Dainik Bhaskar ) was the Chief Guest of the program. The program was attended by the members of the management Dr. Surender Yadav (Chairman), Dr.Sanket Yadav ( Secretary), Gaurav Yadav (Director), Saurav Yadav (Director). All the dignitaries were given floral welcome by the Principal Mrs Pooja Chauhan.
Parents who wanted to watch the Finale were welcomed. They all enjoyed the finale and appreciated the work done by teachers and children. The chief guest in his speech mentioned that “‘Ullas’ is one of a kind in the city of Alwar, and it should be organized every year with this zeal and enthusiasm”.
