The festival of lights ‘Diwali’ is celebrated all over  India in order to welcome lord Rama back home after his victory over Ravana. As a special day , all the students of Delhi Public World School gave fabulous performances and celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm and zeal.

The celebration began with astonishing dance performance by the students of class II ,followed by the dance and song performances by senior students. It was thoroughly enjoyed by the junior students. A small skit on Ramayana was  showcased by senior students of the school.

Few competitions were also organized for the students. Class I students rocked the ramp flaunting their traditional attire for ‘Traditional Prince & Princess Competition’.

As Diwali is also a festival of colours, vibrant jewellery and delicious food, we organized ‘Floral Rangoli Competition’ and  ‘Jewellery Making  Competition’ for classes V to VIII in which students made fascinating rangolis using colourful flower petals and diyas. Senior students also participated in  Jewellery Making Competition and displayed their innovative and creative ideas.

Students of classes  II to IV participated in Cooking Without Flame Competition and prepared mouthwatering and scrumptious dishes.

Guest of honor  Dr.Sanket Yadav , appreciated the efforts of teachers and students. The decoration for the celebration was  the high point of the event.

To conclude the event  Principal Ms. Pooja Chauhan motivated students to celebrate eco friendly and safe Diwali.
