Eco Friendly Diwali
The celebration of Diwali, ‘The Festival of Lights’ came alive by the efforts of DPS World School Alwar on 27th October 2016 at Apna Ghar Shalimar, Alwar. The programme aimed at celebrating the festivity and sensitizing the society towards an Eco Friendly Diwali Celebration.
The programme began with an enlightening speech by the Principal, followed by a street play by Helping hands, an organization that works for spreading awareness on cleanliness. Ms.Heena (music teacher) mesmerized the audience with her soulful melodious voice. Students of class III-V presented a street play on celebrating Eco friendly Diwali. The highlights of the show were the Traditional Queen Competition and Poster Making Competition on the theme ‘Clean Earth Green Earth’
The program was concluded by giving away the prizes by the Chairman, Secretary and the Directors of the school and a promise by all to celebrate an Eco friendly Diwali.
